Field Balancing In-Place or Precision Stand Balancing
![]() Single-plane and multi-plane balancing. In-place or precision stand balancing. Field balancing of large rotating machinery is our specialty.
Field balancing is performed on-site at your facility. Examples of industries using our services are power generating plants, water & gas utilities, manufacturing facilities, pulp and paper mills, steel mills, and other commercial and industrial applications.
It is performed on all types of rotating machinery including fans, blowers, motor rotors, dryer cans, pump impellers, steam and gas turbine generators, rolls, etc.
Our on-site, field balancing capabilities consist of two types:
Precision Stand Balancing is low speed balancing utilizing our variety of transportable balancing machines. We come to your facility and balance yor rotor on site.
We have the capability of balancing rotors from 5,000 lbs to 100 tons,.certifiable to G0.1 or 2W/N; or to your engineering requirements.
Our balancing machines are versatile to different rotor configurations: two bearing or three bearing, and they are capable of large swing diamaters.
Types of equipment we normally service using precision stand balancing include:
In-place balancing is balancing a part while it is in its normal operating position in the machine.; and allows operation to resume immediately following the balancing operation.
Another advantage of in-place balancing is that it compensates for assembly tolerances, unbalance of pulleys, gears, coupling, and other added components of new or overhauled machinery.
Types of equipment we normally service in-place include:
